Chi Xiaoning, the famous Chinese cameraman who filmed Yong
Zheng Dynasty, died of lung cancer at age 52 in Yokohama
Hospital, Japan on Wednesday.
Yong Zheng Dynasty, the series recreating the life of
Qing Dynasty Emperor Yong Zheng, enjoyed the highest rating of any
program ever broadcast on CCTV between 8 to 10 PM, Beijing
Times reports.
Born in Beijing, and the son of famous artist Chi Ning, Chi
Xiaoning graduated from the Art Department of Kyoto University in
Japan. His works include movies such as Journey to The Western
Xia Empire and The Story of Qiu Ju, and TV series'
like Yong Zheng Dynasty, Emperor of Han and
Qiao's Grand Courtyard.
Chi Xiaoning was relentless in his work ethic, earning admirable
recognition in the realm of film and TV.
