In the mood for a thought-provoking black comedy? Then go see the
video film just released by "newbie director" Wang Xiaofeng.
A premiere ceremony was held in Beijing on Saturday, celebrating
the award-winning Chinese blogger's second video work, I'll Be
Watching You.
Given Wang Xiaofeng's guru position in the Chinese blogsphere,
the ceremony attracted both ordinary onlookers and celebrities,
including Hong Kong Phoenix Television's anchor star Dou Wentao,
and Wang Xiaoya of China Central Television.
At the same time, the outspoken blogger has posted a link for
users to freely download the film off his extremely popular blog,
wangxiaofeng.net, and claims he accepts both hash and friendly
comments.
Presenting more black humor like his debut work, The
Adventure of Xiao Qiang, I'll Be Watching You touches
on the trust issue between married couples.
The 100-minute or so film stars Wang Xiaofeng's friends, as well
as well-known sports commentator Han Qiaosheng.
Wang Xiaofeng, who is known as a sarcastic blogger and a
journalist at San Lian Life Weekly magazine, was named one
of Time Magazine's "Persons of the Year 2006."
His blog also won the award of Best Chinese-language
Journalistic Blog from the 2005 Deutsche Welle International Weblog
Awards.
