"Super Girl" Zhang Liangying, or Jane Zhang, released her second album Up-date Thursday, making her the top album releaser among Super Girls, the Chinese versioned American idol.
Best known for singing her favourite songs in foreign languages, Zhang gave up singing English songs on the new album, saying Chinese songs can express her feelings better.
When asked about the album's name Up-date, Zhang explained that this is an up-graded step from her first album, The One. R&B and jazz style songs were included in the new album.
The singing star spent one year in preparations for her Up-date. She has been to America during that period to study and give performances. Being one of the most successful "Super Girls", she made her North American debut in March with a solo concert in Los Angeles.
