The organizers of China's 16th Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film
Festival have invited Hong Kong actress Carina Lau as the film and
entertainment ambassador of Suzhou, helping promote the upcoming
festival, which is due to be held in the city in October.
During an event held on Monday, the renowned HK star, who is
also a Suzhou native, said that she would do her best to serve the
film festival, the Beijing Youth Daily reported on
Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Infernal Affairs actress expressed that
if one day she want have her own biopic shot, it must be shot in
Suzhou, her hometown.
The 16th Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival, dubbed
"China's Oscar", is held annually across the country. This year's
festival will fall on October 23.
