Guests including Li Yifei,
Managing Director of MTV Greater China, pop singer Man Jiang, Ye

blowing bubbles at the press conference released in Beijing on
Thursday afternoon, November 15, 2007.
The Kids Choice Honors, jointly launched by CCTV and MTV, will
be held at the Renmin University in Beijing on December 2. Children
from all over China will be able to vote for their favorite
celebrities.
Chinese pop singer Man Jiang and Ye Pei were invited to share
their experience from last year's event at the press conference in
Beijing on Thursday.
Known as Second Children's Day, this is the third time for the
children's event to come to China. The host country will continue
to invite children from all over China. Many Chinese stars have
been invited to perform at the event, including actress Yao Cheng,
actor Chen Xiaochun, TV host A Ya and Dai Jun. Additionally;
children will be allowed to vote for the Tata Little Hero.
Mr. David Glass is the marketing director for Tata Bubble Gum,
which is the sponsor of this year's event. He explained new aspects
of this year's event.
"Last year we also introduced new aspects of the show, where
children could vote for their own little heroes. So we altered the
program format and introduced other means that allow kids to vote
for kids like themselves, not just for movie stars and singers. To
recognize those kids who've done good deeds for the little heroes
of everyday."
Tata is sponsoring this year's event and introducing good
qualities to young citizens, including exploration and a sense of
adventure, a willingness to help others, a team spirit, and
environmental protection. Glass showed his confidence in and high
expectations for the event.
"Tata and the Tata Hero are all about funding adventure and
heroism. We think the program is great in terms that it is fine for
kids and lets them get involved. We want to introduce the other
aspect which promotes for little citizens the little hero of China.
Just like Tata Man is a big hero, there are many little heroes out
there. We want to give them a platform so they can be proud of
themselves and the other children can look up to them as role
models."
The Kids Choice Honors have emerged as one of the biggest events
in Hollywood, boasting a massive popular vote and great audience
participation. It is the only award show that gives kids the power
to vote for their favorites in movies, television, music, sports
and much more, and it honors their opinions with a live show filled
with the stars they love.
