Chinese singer Ye Fan died of complications from breast cancer
Tuesday morning at a Guangzhou hospital at an early age of 37.

The news of her death was first heard from a fan's blog hosted
by Sina.com.cn.
It was later confirmed by Guangzhou Youhao Hospital, where Ye
Fan was hospitalized, according to China News Service.
The singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. She later
underwent an operation but experienced a recurrence earlier this
year.
Born in 1970 in an ordinary family, Ye Fan built her fame by
singing title songs for a bevy of popular TV dramas. She was also a
member of the Chinese Musicians' Association.
