Nearly one hundred entertainers gathered in Beijing on Wednesday for the Star of the Year awards ceremony held by Beijing Youth Weekly magazine.

Actor Huang Xiaoming was selected as Star of the Year. Singing duo Bobo, who attained fame from a television talent show received the Young Artist of the Year title.

Some 30 awards were given to stars from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.
