Chinese actress Fan Bingbing attended a premiere ceremony for a new television series, "Rouge Snow," or "Yanzhixue," in Shanghai on Wednesday.

Fan Bingbing, who plays the heroine, serves as a first-time producer on the series, which has received widespread media coverage recently.

The story, which focuses on seven women's lives in 1920's, will be first broadcast in Shanghai on March 29, according to a report by Web site ent.qq.com.

We will not let the audiences down, said confident Fan Bingbing.

To ensure the success of the series, Fan invited Teng Wenji, a famous director skilled with historical plots, and Yu Zheng, a screenwriter known for his classical style, to join the crew.

Fan spared no efforts in the course of production, and invested 28 million yuan in the project.

Fan Bingbing started her acting career in 1996. In June 2007, she built her own studio and began working behind the scenes. "Rouge Snow" is her studio's first production.
