Strong rains forecast for south, sandstorms in north

Strong rains are expected to fall on southern China while sandstorms will linger in northern China in the coming two days, a weather forecast said on Monday.
The southern rain-affected areas will also experience thunder and hailstorms, the forecast from the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said.
In northern China, sandstorms will hit the southern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, central and western areas of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, western Gansu Province and northern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the forecast said.
