A strong cold front will bring lower temperature and winds to north China in the next three days, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Saturday.
The cold front will affect regions north of the Yangtze River, where temperatures will decrease by four to eight degrees Celsius, said the NMC in a statement.
Parts of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and northeast Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces will see frosts, according to the statement.
It also forecast heavy rains in the country's northwestern provinces of Gansu and Shaanxi, the southwestern Sichuan Province and some of the northern and central provinces.
Continuous rains and lack of sunshine could hurt grain growth in those areas, the statement noted, urging producers to take preventive measures.
