China's meteorological authority on Friday forecast rain in the southwestern of the country over the next three days and a cold front in central-eastern regions.
Eastern parts of southwest China and western parts of south China will experience rain from Feb. 18 to 20, with central and western regions of Guizhou Province to experience icy rain, the National Meteorological Center said.
A cold front will continue to affect the country's central and eastern regions, diving temperatures down by three to six degrees Celsius in regions south of the Yellow River's middle and lower reaches, according to a statement on the center's website.
Due to the cold front, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, southern parts of northeast China, eastern parts of north China, and eastern parts of the Yangtze, Yellow and Huai rivers will see strong wind, it added.
But temperatures will rebound in most central-eastern regions from Feb. 19 to 22, the center said.
It added the drought-hit regions in Yunnan province will see no rain over the coming week.
