Three people were killed and two injured Saturday after a landslide brought down a wall of a car washing shop in south China's Yunnan province, local authorities said.

The shield wall of a car washing shop in front of a hill slope in the county seat of Gongshan Dulong-Nu Autonomous County collapsed at 7:30 a.m., crushing three workers to deaths and injuring another two, the county government said in a statement.

The two injured have been rushed to a local hospital for emergency treatment, it said.

The county police authorities earlier sent a 15-member rescue team to comb and clear the debris in search of the missing car washing workers.
