5.6-magnitude quake hits near the east coast of Honshu, Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 15:02:19 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.50 km, was initially determined to be at 39.7818 degrees north latitude and 142.1724 degrees east longitude.
