China's meteorological authority on Tuesday predicted rain for the nation's southwestern and southern regions and a cold front in the north.
Some areas in southwest China, regions south of the Yangtze River and south China will see heavy rain and storms from Tuesday to Thursday, the National Meteorological Center said.
During the period, rainstorms will hit Guizhou province and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with precipitation reaching up to 180 mm, the center said.
Meanwhile, a cold front will continue to affect Inner Mongolia, north China and northeast China from Tuesday to Wednesday, dropping temperatures by as much as 10 degrees Celsius and bringing strong winds, the center said.
The cold front will also create dry and dusty conditions in the South Xinjiang Basin, the center said.
