5.1-magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan region at 2000 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 18.20 km, was initially determined to be at 22.2174 degrees north latitude and 121.1191 degrees east longitude.
