A full-grown finless porpoise was found dead in the river close to the outlet pipe of the Xinchang Power Plant in southern China’s Jiangxi Province on the afternoon of April 6.
This is the second dead finless porpoise discovered in the Gan River valley since March, 2013. According to a CCTV report, the finless porpoise carcass has been sent to the relevant authorities for further testing. According to the preliminary inspection, injury is not the main cause of death.
