An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 20:36:49 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 22.05 km, was initially determined to be at 36.3624 degrees north latitude and 141.7731 degrees east longitude.
