Pet dog saves woman from suicide attempt

A 22-year-old woman suffering from depression was once "persuaded" by her pet dog not to commit suicide, Western China Metropolis Daily reported.
The woman has suffered from depression after failing to enter a good university.
Family members have managed to stop the woman from committing suicide three times, the latest on Saturday when they pulled her back from the edge of a roof.
She also stood on the edge of the roof on Dec 11 but changed her mind about jumping after seeing her pet dog.
The woman’s father said family members had called police and firefighters to rescue her but their appearance irritated his daughter, who became even more emotional.
To calm her, Wang and his wife took her pet to the scene and asked her to play with the dog.
The sight of the dog calmed the woman and her family members and police were able to bring her down from the roof, Western China Metropolis Daily said.
