A 6-year-old sheep found by two Australian farmers in the island state of Tasmania may be the world's woolliest sheep ever, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported.

Peter and Netty Hazell found the creature, dubbed Shaun, wandering in their brushland. They believed that the sheep has likely never been shorn in his life.

The coat of Shaun is estimated to weigh about 20 kg.

The two farmers say they plan on shearing Shaun in a few days to see if he can topple the world record.
