An entrepreneurship union program was launched on Monday to promote the environmental protection public welfare programs into "Internet Plus" fields.

The Environmental Protection Maker Union Program was initiated by the China Environmental Protection Foundation, Environmental Development Center of Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Southern China Cluster of State Environment Service Industry, and Foshan City-based Carbon UniCom.

The program will make use of an innovation model incorporating "Internet Plus" to provide advanced technologies, a development pattern of environmental protection services and the issue of funds for those who want to launch their career and business in the environmental protection world.

This marks the first time the environmental protection program has connected the concept of "Internet Plus," mentioned by Premier Li Keqiang in his government work report, saying that China will develop the "Internet Plus" action plan to integrate mobile Internet, cloud computing, big data and the Internet of Things with modern manufacturing in order to encourage the healthy development of e-commerce, industrial networks, and Internet banking, and to help Internet companies increase their international presence.

The China Environmental Protection Foundation has accepted a donation from Carbon UniCom to form a special fund to support the program and other environmental protection projects such as an international environmental protection technology exchange platform.

The foundation will also promote the intelligent recycling of solid garbage by using an APP and WeChat in the pilot cities of Beijing, Guangzhou and Hangzhou, while providing a platform to encourage young entrepreneurship.

The Environmental Protection Maker Union Program will also offer to train local environmental protection talents in various places throughout China.
