More than 90 percent of people support the nation's restriction on plastic bags, but some are still relying on plastic bags in their daily life, according to a recent survey conducted on the Internet, Shanghai Daily reported.

The survey carried out by mytianhui.com, a local online survey company, sampled 40,000 Netizens on the plastic bag restriction. It found 93 percent supported the restriction and only 2 percent were opposed to the policy. The remaining 5 percent said they didn't care.
Since June 1, 2008, all Chinese retailers, including supermarkets, department stores and grocery stores, have no longer provided free plastic shopping bags.
