Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi voiced her hope that China and the World
Bank would further cooperation on energy resources, environmental
protection, public health and poverty eradication Tuesday.
Wu made the remarks during a meeting with World Bank President
Robert B. Zoellick.
Wu praised the sound cooperation between China and the World
Bank, and expressed gratitude for the support of the World Bank to
China's reform and social development.
China will continue to cooperate with the World Bank on
multilateral aid, Wu said.
She also briefed Zoellick on the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of
China (CPC).
Zoellick said the World Bank would like to strengthen
partnership with China, provide fund and share development
experience with China to promote global prosperity and poverty
eradication.
