A 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit Jurong city of east China's Jiangsu province at 6:43 PM Sunday, according to the provincial seismological bureau.
The epicenter was at 32.2 degrees north latitude and 119.1 degrees east longitude.
Xu Qun, a resident of Jurong, spoke of evident swaying of computer on the desk. Some residents in Nanjing, Jiangsu's capital about 40 kilometers away from Jurong, said they also felt the tremor.
Local seismological experts are conducting further research.
