Integrated workshop on climate change held in Beijing

On September 22, Integrated Workshop on Coping with Climate Change in the Typhoon Committee Area was held in Beijing and it was jointly organized by Ministry of Water Resources, China Meteorological Administration, U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and Typhoon Committee of World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

On September 22, Integrated Workshop on Coping with Climate Change in the Typhoon Committee Area was held in Beijing.

Mr. E Jinping, Vice Minister of Ministry of Water Resources, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech to appeal regional cooperation in the aspects of technology, policy and strategy to strengthen the capacity on coping with climate change, and he also expresses willingness to learn from technology and experience of neighboring countries. Mr. E met the representatives of related governments and international organizations before the opening ceremony.

The Workshop will last 5 days and its main topic is “evaluate and minimize potential economic and social impacts of climate change”.
