An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Siping City of northeastern Jilin Province at 2:48 p.m. Friday, according to China's seismological network.
The quake was detected at 43.4 degrees north latitude and 124.9 degrees east longitude, at the junction of the Yitong Manchu Autonomous County and the Gongzhuling City.
No information on casualties or damages was available at press time.
