Up to 60 whales were stranded on a beach in Western Australia on Monday, according to Australian Associated Press.
Between 40 and 60 whales are believed to be washed up at the Hamelin Bay beach, near Margaret River, a spokeswoman of the Department of Environment and Conservation said.
The spokeswoman said the department has sent a team to the bay to rescue the animals.
