Vice-premier Wu Yi to Deliver SARS Report to legislature

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi is scheduled to deliver a work report on the prevention and control of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic to the nation's top legislature Friday afternoon on behalf of the State Council.

According to an agenda just passed by lawmakers, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) will also hold group meetings to discuss Wu's report right after it is delivered.

By press time, Wu has appeared at the meeting hall of the NPC Standing Committee.
