Wu Yi Leaves Beijing for 56th World Health Assembly

Chinese Vice-Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi left Beijing Friday morning for Geneva to attend the 56th World Health Assembly which will be held on May 19.

Wu's entourage includes Sha Zukang, Chinese Ambassador to the UN office at Geneva; Zhou Wenzhong, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Ma Xiaowei, Vice-Minister of Health.

Also accompanying Wu to the conference is one of China's leading medical scientists, Li Liming, director of the Chinese Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
