Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong on Thursday extended Spring Festival greetings to the country's old comrades at a tea party, calling for more care for them.

"Veteran comrades have performed meritorious service and made a great contribution to our country," said Zeng, adding old comrades constitute a real force for building a harmonious and well-off society.

Zeng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said governments at all levels will work to ensure that all policies about veterans are fully implemented and their advisory role is given full recognition.

He urged officials in Party committees and governments at all levels to pay frequent visits to the old comrades to help solve their difficulties.
