A draft law that promotes employment in the country will be
submitted to lawmakers for first read at an upcoming three-day
legislative session which begins on Feb. 26.
A meeting of the chairman and vice-chairpersons' of the Standing
Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), was held here on
Monday and presided over by top legislator Wu Bangguo. They decided that the NPC Standing
Committee will be held from Feb. 26 to 28.
Monday's meeting also decided lawmakers will discuss and propose
ratification of a treaty that defines the national borders of
China, Vietnam and Laos during the upcoming legislative
session.
At the late February meeting, lawmakers will also decide the
agenda, the presidium, who will be the secretary-general and draw
up a list of non-voting delegates to the 10th NPC's fifth plenary
meeting which will begins Mar. 5th.
The plenary meeting will also examine the annual work report of
the 10th NPC Standing Committee.
