Opened in February this year, the local government service centre is meant to provide assistances to enterprises that are involved in the service sector. The centre now offers over 700 types of non-stop services rendered by some 30 government departments relating to administrative examinations and approvals.

According Mr. Miao, a customer who came on business visit to the city administration of state land, resources and housing, he used to go to several different places to complete one of his businesses, which was very inconvenient. Miao says he feels very happy that he now only needs to visit one main service centre and get everything done.

According to the service centre's records, by November 5 this year it had dealt with over 424,000 service-related cases.
