China has made great achievements in developing Hepatitis B
Vaccines, with two therapeutic vaccines entering clinical research
and trials.
The Chinese newspaper People's Daily reported the good
news for Hepatitis B patients, according to a source from the
Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology.
Once the new vaccines enter the market, they are expected to
have unprecedented effects on Chinese people's health, elevating
the cure rate for the disease.
So far, China has 120 million Hepatitis B virus carriers.
Meanwhile, 39 million patients suffer from chronic Hepatitis B.
China has popularized the inoculation of Hepatitis B preventive
vaccines in recent years; however, these vaccines do nothing to
cure patients already infected with the virus.
As of now, there is still no effective way to clear out the
Hepatitis B virus from the bodies of patients, worldwide.
However, the two new therapeutic vaccines may do more and
further protect people from the disease.
