Taiwan has confirmed a new A/H1N1 flu case, bringing the total cases on the island to 14, the local disease control authorities said in Taipei Tuesday.
The latest case involved a 8-year-old boy.
On May 29, the boy traveled from Texas to Taiwan, with a transfer in Los Angeles. He arrived in Taiwan on Sunday morning.
On Monday he was confirmed to have been infected with the flu.
More than 50 people, including eight family members, were listed as people who had close contact with the patient. The family members have not developed any symptoms of the flu, according to the local disease control authorities.
