Chile's A/H1N1 flu death toll rises to 40

The Chilean Health Ministry reported seven new deaths of A/H1N1 flu on Friday, bringing the country's death toll from the flu to 40.

So far, 10,926 cases have been confirmed by lab tests, and 5.8 percent of the patients have been hospitalized, according to the ministry.

The ministry has bought 600,000 units of anti-viral medicine, enough for 1.5 million doses.
