Macao reported 40 newly confirmed cases of Influenza A/H1N1 on Sunday, bringing the cumulative number of such cases to 621 so far.

The newly confirmed cases concerned 19 female patients and 21 male patients whose ages ranged from three months to 49, Macao's Health Bureau said.

Statistics from the Bureau showed that some 19 patients who tested positive for the A/H1N1 virus were still receiving medical treatments at local hospitals, but their health conditions, except for one seriously ill patient, remained stable.

Regarding the vaccines, the first batch of A/H1N1 vaccine will be delivered between November and December this year, and local children and senior residents aged beyond 65 will be firstly inoculated, the Bureau also said.
