Hong Kong had confirmed 406 cases of Influenza A/H1N1 in the 24 hours to 02:30 p.m. Tuesday, bringing the total number of the cases to 9,756, Hong Kong health authorities said.
The new cases involved 208 males and 198 females, aged between two months and 74 years old, said a spokesman from the Center of Health Protection of Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hospital Authority said currently, a total of 109 confirmed cases are staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 94 cases are in stable condition, six in serious and nine in critical condition.
