Chinese President Hu Jintao returned to Beijing on Sunday after
wrapping up his visits to eight African nations.
The visits, which began on Jan. 30, took Hu to Cameroon,
Liberia, Sudan, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and
Seychelles.
It was Hu's first African trip since Beijing hosted a summit of
the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) last November, the
largest meeting between the two sides since the 1950s.
