China on Tuesday signed an agreement with Guinea-Bissau on
economic and technical cooperation, news from Bissau, the African
country's capital, said.
The agreement was signed in Bissau by China's Ambassador to
Guinea-Bissau Tian Guangfeng and Guinea-Bissau's secretary of state
for international cooperation, Tibna Sambe Nawana.
At the signing ceremony, Nawana highly commended the long-time
selfless assistance and strong support the Chinese government and
people have provided to the government of Guinea-Bissau and its
people.
The cooperation programs included in the agreement will help
improve Guinea-Bissau's poor infrastructure, Nawana said, adding
that his government is deeply grateful to China and its people.
Under the agreement, the Chinese government will assist
Guinea-Bissau in several programs, including the rebuilding of a
hospital.
