China to Further Expand Cooperation with ASEAN
Adjust font size:

China is willing to further expand cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to help make a bigger contribution to peace, stability and prosperity of the region, said State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan in Beijing Tuesday.

Tang made the remarks when he met with visiting Bruneian Princess Hajah Masna in the Great Hall of the People. He also spoke positively of the important role Brunei plays in promoting China-ASEAN relations, adding that he appreciates ASEAN's support of China on the Taiwan issue.

Tang said China and Brunei have good prospects to cooperate on politics, economy and culture.

This year will be the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Masna said Brunei will work with China to hold some activities to mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

She said Brunei will push forward cooperation with China in all fields, and enhance people-to-people exchanges, so as to promote the friendship between the two peoples.
