Wu Meets Greek FM

Greece and China promised in Crete on Thursday to further promote their cooperation in various fields in a bid to push their relations to a new high level.

 

During his meeting with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, visiting Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress Wu Bangguo said that it is a common sense that China and Greece should strengthen their traditionally friendly ties.

 

He pledged that China is willing to deepen the cooperation in every aspect, especially the cooperation and exchange on the provincial and regional levels.

 

On her part, Bakoyannis stressed that Wu's successful visit in Greece will facilitate the development of Greek-Sino comprehensive strategic partnership, adding that Greece and China are able to upgrade the bilateral relations in the fields of economy and trade, tourism and regional cooperation to a new high.

 

Wu, who arrived in Athens on Monday for a four-day official and goodwill visit in Greece, will conclude his visit here on Friday and leave for Russia.
