Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar met in Ulan Bator on
Tuesday with a special envoy of Chinese President Hu Jintao to mark
the 800th anniversary of "Great Mongolia."
Xu Kuangdi, vice chairman of the National Committee of the
Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said that
continually consolidating and promoting the China-Mongolia
good-neighborly partnership of mutual trust was an unswerving
policy of China.
China would like to make joint efforts with Mongolia to further
strengthen bilateral cooperation for the common development of the
two countries, Xu said.
The prosperity and development of both countries will provide
more scope for bilateral cooperation in various fields, serve the
interests of both peoples and contribute to maintaining regional
peace and stability, he added.
Sticking to the peaceful development path, China would like to
continue to be Mongolia's good neighbor, good partner and good
friend, Xu said.
Enkhbayar said his country is glad to witness the sound
development in China-Mongolia relations. Together with China,
Mongolia will earnestly implement the consensus reached with
President Hu on bilateral relations, he added.
The Mongolian president hoped cooperation between Mongolia and
China could be expanded in various fields, especially in the
economic and trade field.
Xu, who arrived here on Monday for a four-day visit, attended a
commemoration event marking the 800th anniversary of "Great
Mongolia" earlier on Tuesday.
During his visit, Xu also held talks with Chairman of State
Great Hural of Mongolia Tsendiin Nyamdorj on cooperation and
bilateral ties.
