A group of 25 Chinese embassy staff and engineers, evacuated
from Lebanon, started their journey for home early Tuesday from the
international airport in Damascus.
A total of 30 Chinese people, including embassy staff, their
families and 10 engineers, were moved out of Lebanon on Monday amid
escalating Israeli attacks aimed at seeking the release of two
Israeli soldiers captured by Hezbollah militants.
The first batch of 25 people left Damascus aboard a plane
heading for China via the United Arab Emirates, while the rest five
will leave soon on another flight.
