Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing talked over phone with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Thursday, according to a press release from the Foreign Ministry.

 

The press release said they exchanged views on how to further implement the consensus reached by President Hu Jintao and US President George W. Bush at an outreach session of the Group of Eight (G8) summit in Russia's St. Petersburg in July.

 

The ministry gave no further details about the phone talks.
