Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo will pay official and goodwill
visits to Brazil, Uruguay and Chile from August 28 to September
9.
Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's
Congress, China's top legislative body, will also visit the
Latin-American Parliament in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Wu was invited by President Renan Calheiros of the Federal
Senate and President Also Rebelo of the Chamber of Deputies of the
Brazilian National Congress, and President Rodolfo Gustavo Nin
Noboa of the National Congress of Uruguay, who is also Uruguay's
vice president and president of the Senate.
Wu will also be a guest of President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle of
the Senate and President Antonio Leal Labrin of the Chamber of
Deputies of the National Congress of Chile, and President Ney Lopes
of the Latin-American Parliament.
