China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to enhance bilateral
cooperation in various fields, said State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan in
Beijing Wednesday.
"China will work with Kazakhstan to enrich the bilateral
strategic partnership, to benefit the two states and the two
peoples and contribute to the common development of all nations in
the region," Tang said in a meeting with visiting Deputy Prime
Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov.
The two heads of state announced the establishment of the
China-Kazakhstan strategic partnership last year, Tang recalled,
saying that this had triggered a new phase in the development of
bilateral relations.
"The security and stability of central Asia is of fundamental
interest to both China and Kazakhstan," Tang said, noting that
China would coordinate closely with Kazakhstan in the fight against
the "three forces" of separatism, extremism and terrorism.
"China will join with other nations and organizations in the
region in efforts to safeguard regional security and stability,"
Tang noted.
Masimov said Kazakhstan attached great importance to its
relations with China.
Kazakhstan appreciated China's road of peaceful development, and
will work energetically with China to promote bilateral cooperation
in such fields as politics, economy, trade, security and
culture.
