Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan met in Beijing Tuesday with
Syafrie Syamsuddin, secretary general of Indonesia's defense
ministry, who was here to attend the 2nd round of China-Indonesia
defense and security consultation.
Cao said China is ready to push forward the all-round
development of bilateral relations so as to benefit the peoples of
both countries.
"We have witnessed a healthy and stable development of the
military-to-military relations in recent years," Cao said.
He hoped both sides could take the opportunity of the
consultation to have an in-depth exchange of views and push ahead
the relations between the two armed forces.
Echoing Cao's remarks, Syafrie said Indonesia will work with
China to further the mutually beneficial cooperation between the
two countries and two armed forces so as to safeguard regional
stability and achieve common development.
