A strong earthquake with 6.0 magnitude jolted central Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara provincial city of Kupang on Wednesday, but there was no immediate report of casualties or material damage, said the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) quoted by the national Antara news agency.
The quake struck at 02:53 p.m. local time (0653 GMT), with the epicenter between 9.49 degrees southern latitude and 124.19 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 10 km under the seabed, or 101 km north east of Kupang.
