Australian police said on Tuesday the death toll from Victoria's massive bushfires has reached 200 so far.
This figure is up from the tally of 189 police released Monday evening.
The new figure was issued after victim identification experts had scoured the wreckage of properties in the towns which were burned down by the devastating bushfire which started on Feb. 7.
Among the death toll, Kinglake complex, 60 km north of Melbourne, suffered most with 139 people killed, followed by Marysville complex with 43 being burned to death.
Police warned that the toll could further rise as more remote areas are being searched and cleared in the next few days.
