Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon is to pay an official visit to China from May 9 to 13 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu made the announcement at a regular press briefing on Tuesday.
