Kuwaiti Emir concludes China trip

Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah concluded his state visit to China and left Beijing on Tuesday.

During his three-day stay, the Emir held talks with the Chinese President Hu Jintao and met with the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao respectively, exchanging views on bilateral relations, and international and regional issues of common concern.

During the Emir's visit, China and Kuwait signed five agreements in an effort to further the bilateral relations to a higher level, and jointly issued a press communique to highlight cooperation on trade, energy resources, education, and on tackling the financial crisis.

Invited by President Hu, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah arrived in Beijing last Sunday. It was his sixth China trip since 1977.
